Industriesalon Schöneweide

Description
Industriesalon Schöneweide invites you to exciting guided tours through historic industrial architecture. Experience firsthand how the neighborhood has evolved into a forward-looking Berlin district with sustainable planning, science, art, and production.
Along Wilhelminenhofstraße stretches the Walk of Fame Schöneweide – an open-air installation featuring 24 viewing scopes. These show photos from 1897 to today, vividly telling the industrial history of the area. QR codes provide additional information and make the walk interactive.
If you're interested in group repairs, come to the regular Repair Café on the first two Wednesdays of each month. Here, community spirit is lived and sustainability promoted by fixing things to make them functional again.
Exhibitions also focus on local history, such as Jewish life and work in Schöneweide. Six families are at the center, showing impressively how closely community and contribution to the neighborhood are intertwined.
The program also includes readings and lectures – for example, by author Anne Rabe. She compellingly shares childhood experiences that connect DDR history and present-day Germany.
