The Junghans Terrassenbau Museum invites you on an exciting journey through the history of clockmaking in the Black Forest. From 18th-century wooden wheel clocks to automatic and musical clocks, the museum features over 300 exhibits that do more than just tell time – including a fully functional 1912 Phonoliszt-Violina Orchestrion that has been delighting music lovers for over 100 years.

A special highlight is the temporary exhibition 'Junghans Wristwatches – Milestones in Watch History' showcasing significant models from ten decades. Discover the story behind the first Junghans wristwatch, innovative high-tech radio-controlled watches, and the first German quartz watch, revealing fascinating developments in technology and design.

The museum also features an accurately recreated mainspring manufacturing plant and offers insights into the local suppliers whose innovations shaped the watch industry. The Junghans brand stands as a pioneer of technical and design milestones that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern technology.

This diverse offering is especially suited for children and young people up to 18 years old who want to explore technology and history. 🎵
