Kaiserpfalz Paderborn

Description
The Kaiserpfalz Paderborn takes you to the historic grounds where Emperor Charlemagne once welcomed important guests. Here you experience firsthand how the emperors used to live and how Paderborn developed over time.
For children aged 6 to 10 years, there is an exciting autumn holiday program. They learn about daily life in a Roman camp, discover Roman leisure activities, and find out how the Romans ate.
The highlight is the unchanged spring cellar filled with water – the source of the Pader River, which has been flowing for 1000 years.
From 8 years old, family-friendly tours invite you in, including the theme “One hand washes the other”, offering fascinating insights into Roman life.
The exhibition “From Co-Living to Glamping – The Romans on the Pader and Lippe” vividly shows how the Romans shaped the region.
In the special autumn holiday workshops “Bread and Games”, children can try out Roman games and explore Roman food themselves – ideal for experiencing history with fun! 🍂
