Kampen Sturmhaube am Roten Kliff

Beach layout

Kampen's beach area is divided into four sections. These range from Sturmhaube/ Rotes Kliff (area L – N) to 'Buhne 16,' a popular beach bar. In between are the main beach (H – K) with the attractive restaurant 'La Grande Plage' and the Dünenteg section (E – G). The area near Sturmhaube is especially impressive. Here you'll find the Rotes Kliff, a 30-meter high cliff. It truly comes to life in the evening when the blood-red sun sinks into the sea on the west coast. At that moment, the cliff glows in a magical way, creating unforgettable moments.

Family beach

Trained lifeguards watch over swimmers on all Kampen beaches and provide first aid in emergencies. Public restrooms are available in the beach area at Sturmhaube (area L - M) (also wheelchair accessible), at La Grande Plage (area H - K), at the Dünenteg beach access (area E - G), and directly at Buhne 16.

Relax with leisurely walks to the beach sauna. Children can explore the beach, build sandcastles, and join in the kids' activities.

Dog beaches

To make sure four-legged guests are not left out, Kampen offers two dog beaches to choose from. In the north, this is section A in the nude beach area, and in the south, section N. Free “doggy bags” are provided by the Kampen Tourism Service, guest card inspectors, the beach chair rental stands, and dog bag stations around town.

Activity beaches

Join beach gymnastics classes or get some exercise playing beach volleyball. The beach offers plenty to do. Find more players and organize a beach soccer match.
