Description

Kindermuseum Junges Schloss is the first children’s museum in the Stuttgart region, with an exhibition space of nearly 700 m². It introduces children from the age of four and their families to the cultural history of Württemberg through changing interactive exhibitions. It opened its doors in October 2010 in the Old Castle as part of the Landesmuseum Württemberg. Besides the exhibition space, Junges Schloss has a spacious reception area with places to snack, play, and rest, as well as several workshop rooms and a theater space. The two mascots, Hugo the castle ghost and Trixi the castle owl, also belong to Kindermuseum Junges Schloss. They appear in the interactive exhibitions, on posters and flyers, and as walking acts at events.
