Description
Kleinkastell Pohl – an authentically reconstructed Roman wood-and-earth fort that offers fascinating insights into the harsh life on the northern border of the Roman Empire around the year 100. Here you can try out the massive fortress gate with its rotating wings yourself – a playful experience showing how quickly the gate was closed and locked back then.
Several times a year, the Roman camps come alive in original tents to host lively Roman festivals for both children and adults. Experience life at the Limes up close—from Roman auxiliary troops to Germanic and Celtic settlers. In a relaxed atmosphere, evening cultural events featuring concerts, readings, and theater performances invite all generations to join in and watch.
