Kölner Zoo

The Kölner Zoo amazes with over 12,000 animals from more than 750 species in exciting animal houses and spacious enclosures 🐾.

Particularly worth seeing is the new Dragon House with Komodo dragons, kangaroos, and other animals, as well as the giraffe enclosure twice as large, allowing an even closer encounter with these tall animals.

If you want to dive into virtual worlds, you can experience the African savanna up close with the SAVANNA VR headset. A visit to DINOWORLD, where giant prehistoric creatures await, is also worthwhile.

For families, there are evening tours offering fascinating insights into the lives of animals active at dusk, as well as regular feedings of penguins, sea lions, meerkats, baboons, and even elephant training – entertaining and up close.

The popular children's petting meadow “Africa in Cologne” guarantees lots of fun for the little ones. Additionally, the zoo is deeply involved in over 20 international projects dedicated to nature and species conservation.
