Kreismuseum Peine

Kreismuseum Peine invites families to make exciting discoveries in its interactive exhibitions. In the hands-on exhibition "Old Administrator! Your Coal – Your Decision!", everyone gets a turn to explore the world of coal playfully together with their family.

With the "Stone by Stone" activity, visitors contribute their own ideas and create a personal space in the museum – a true shared experience.

Specifically for school classes from 2nd to 10th grade, there are special offerings with the "Old Administrator for School Classes" program and the Historical School Lesson: In a historic classroom, an educator dressed as Miss Künnemann guides children through an exciting journey into school history.

On the first floor awaits the new permanent exhibition "Sugar, Steel, and Immigration", which tells the region’s history in a striking way.

For active families, there is the Radler-Pass 2026: It connects bike tours around Peine with a digital app and offers lots of fun discovering the surroundings.

Additionally, the audio hike "Clouds over Gurbet" is recommended. It shares stories of immigration and life in Peine’s Südstadt – an exciting cultural experience for both young and old. 🚲
