Description
Leise-Park is a green space located in the Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood of the Pankow district in Berlin. It opened to the public on June 1, 2012. The park covers 15,900 m² of former sections of the New Cemetery St. Marien-St. Nikolai, which the Berlin Senate acquired from the Protestant Cemetery Association Berlin City Center. Some of the grave sites and tombstones were preserved during the redesign, but most of the area is now dedicated to natural play areas and relaxing spots.
