Maritime Meile in Bremen-Vegesack

Description
Anyone who loves being close to the water should not miss the Maritime Meile in Bremen-Vegesack, where 400 years ago Germany's first artificial harbor was created. From here, visitors enjoy a dreamy view across the Weser and of two large shipyards. With a bit of luck the curious might even catch a glimpse of one of the yachts worth millions that are built here to the latest standards. In contrast, the roughly 20 ships in the museum harbor tell of the long tradition of seafaring, while at the Utkiek, right next to the harbor, various restaurants and pubs invite visitors to enjoy. Further along the Weser, the Stadtgarten Vegesack is a green must-see in Bremen that still houses botanical rarities the botanist Dr. Albrecht Roth planted here in the early 19th century.
