Monchronik

Description
Monchronik is an exciting, decentralized city museum in Monheim am Rhein that brings history to life at various historic locations. The approximately 2.3 km thematic walking route connects four of eight stations and offers a great mix of culture, history, and leisure – ideal for families and children thanks to short distances.
Many of the Monchronik stations offer free admission. Interactive exhibits like the historic eel boat “Fiat Voluntas” invite you to actively discover history. The Roman Museum Haus Bürgel displays late antique plants outdoors and offers insights into the lives of ancient soldiers. Hilla’s Reading Shed provides a literary oasis and honors the childhood of author Ulla Hahn – perfect for little literature fans. In Marienburg Park, nature and modern art come together to create an appealing environment for families.
The entire Monchronik route is designed to be child-friendly. In addition, several locations offer barrier-free access and audio stations with Braille so all families can experience the culture.
