Münze Hall
Description
At Münze Hall, you can experience an exciting journey into the past, which has a lot to offer, especially for children aged 7 to 13. An absolute highlight: You can mint your very own coin! 🪙
In the special children's program, you go on a journey of discovery to find out who once created money and lived within the old castle walls. For birthday children, there's an exciting riddle hunt through the museum. Discover the origin of the castle's name and, as a reward, mint your own coin!
Don't forget to visit the Münzerturm! There, the world's largest silver Taler awaits you. You can also learn more about urban archaeology, with a bit of luck observe peregrine falcons, and enjoy a magnificent view over the medieval city, the Inntal, and the Karwendelgebirge ⛰️.
The castle is, by the way, the birthplace of the Taler, the coin that gave the Dollar its name! Experience a lively journey through time with historical machines and an impressive soundscape.
Interactive stations, accompanied by an audio guide – the Münzwardein –, bring past times to life in the historical rooms of the castle.
