Mumuth

MUMUTH is a building entirely dedicated to music and music theater – featuring a spectacular architectural design by Dutch architect Ben van Berkel. Steel, concrete, and glass merge here into impressive combinations and layers.

The centerpiece is the large György-Ligeti Hall, which impresses with its variable acoustic environment, contemporary lighting design, and fully flexible seating.

In addition, there is an orchestra rehearsal room with tiered seating, a rehearsal stage on the third floor with a great view of the campus, as well as other studios and theater infrastructure supporting music theater productions.

MUMUTH presents both current and past productions from the Institute for Music Theater, including new and classic operas as well as music theater works. 🎭
