The Museum für Militär- und Zeitgeschichte Stammheim invites you on a fascinating journey through more than 200 years of military and social history. Military technology, social developments, and the everyday life of past generations come together here to create a lively experience.

On over 17,000 m² of exhibition space with more than 20,000 original exhibits, you will find over 250 historic vehicles – ranging from wheeled and tracked vehicles to watercraft and aircraft.

A special highlight is the historic barn with an original carpenter’s workshop, village smithy, and traditional laundry, vividly showcasing rural life and crafts of the last century.

At special events such as spring festivals, classic car gatherings, and model-building days, you can see many of the vehicles in action. There’s also authentic soldiers’ food prepared in the field kitchen and bakery – a truly unique culinary experience 🍲.

The museum doesn’t just display military history, but also the lives of people in challenging times through original artifacts, personal stories, and historical contexts.
