Description
The Museum im Ballhaus is housed in a building that was already built in the 16th century and first mentioned in a document in 1530. The name refers to its earlier use as a storehouse for bales of cloth.
- Exhibits ranging from the Urnfield culture through the guild history of the Middle Ages to contemporary art
- The Ursuline nativity scene from 1790 with 237 figures
- A background painting more than 5 m wide in the largest nativity scene in Tyrol
The figures wear precious robes and fine embroidery that are well worth a closer look.
