Description

Museum Kaskade - Infohaus Wasser takes you on an exciting journey through the history and future of water. The exhibition shows how water supply has developed from the past to the present day and highlights challenges like climate change.

Set within a historic cascade pumping station built in 1956 and preserved in its original state, the exhibition spans about 1,000 square meters across six levels. Families and school groups experience water in many different ways – interactive stations and media make it clear that clean drinking water has not always been a given.

The Blue Classroom offers an age-appropriate learning concept with workshops, multimedia quizzes, talk shows, and role-playing games. There are also free guided tours available for school classes and groups of ten or more.

From the tower top of the cascade, you can enjoy an impressive panoramic view over the Jade Bight to the Weser on clear days. An elevator provides barrier-free access to most exhibition areas – so everyone can discover the fascinating world of water.
