Description

The Ladin State Museum at Thurn Castle, once the center of the “Thurn an der Gader” court (13th century), presents the culture of the more than 30,000 Ladins, whose shared identity is shaped by two essential elements: their language, which goes back to Vulgar Latin, and the unique mountain landscape of the Dolomites. The museum offers an entertaining introduction to geology, archaeology, history, language, tourism and handicrafts of the five Ladin valleys.
