Description

The museum is dedicated to the prehistoric cave bear and the geology of the Dolomites. Across three floors, it explains the history and habitat of the cave bears that lived around 40,000 years ago. The centerpiece is the original bones, teeth, and skulls of the cave bear species "Ursus ladinicus," discovered in 1984. Video installations, a complete skeleton, and a lifelike replica of the sleeping Ursus ladinicus enrich the visit.
