Description

The Museum Lothar Fischer displays around 60 sculptures and statues by the artist over two floors, covering 500 square meters of exhibition space.

In addition to the permanent exhibitions featuring works by Lothar Fischer, there are three rotating exhibitions each year showcasing contemporary sculptors, classical modern art, and artists connected to Fischer.

The museum has already exhibited works by renowned artists such as Käthe Kollwitz, Max Beckmann, Alberto Giacometti, Henry Moore, and Francisco de Goya.

Several sculptures by Fischer and his fellow artists are placed around the museum and are planned to become part of the newly designed city park.

The Lothar & Christel Fischer Foundation has been awarding a biennial prize since 2005 for sculptors, which includes an exhibition and sponsorship opportunity as well as a €5,000 prize.
