Description

The Museum Mensch und Jagd takes you on an exciting journey through 300,000 years of hunting history. Starting with the first hunters in African savannas and continuing to today's hunting methods, you will experience the important role hunting has played in human life and daily routines.

The exhibition shows how hunting has sustainably shaped life and provides fascinating insights into current tasks, regulations, and the relationship between humans, forests, and wildlife – especially in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Additionally, the museum invites you on an impressive excursion into the geology and biology of the region's diverse animal and plant life, encouraging you to explore closely.

The permanent exhibition is divided into two distinctive themes that clearly present both the historical and modern perspectives on hunting.
