Naturschutzgebiet "Koaserin"

Naturschutzgebiet "Koaserin" offers you an approximately 30 hectare moor and wet meadow area that is home to over 90 bird species – including the rare snipe 🐦.

Discover: beavers and otters, abundant insect life (ideal for meadow and pond discoveries), a lovingly designed educational trail at the edge and a “nature experience island” for children.

Concrete conservation highlights: the visible fish pass, the still present Margaritifera margaritifera in the Leitenbach and the restored Hinterberger Mühle as a planned nature competence center with overnight accommodations for small groups. With building camps young people were able to help with reconstruction and repair of paths and boardwalks.
