Nordoer Heide

Just outside Itzehoe, the Nordoer Heide awaits you as a unique nature reserve. Open sandy areas, idyllic forests, waters, and blooming heath provide a valuable habitat for rare plants and animals. On a walk, you can watch colorful butterflies, listen to birdsong, or spot the impressive Galloway cattle, Exmoor ponies, and Burenziegen goats grazing.
