Description
Ostpark Frankfurt am Main is a park located in the Ostend district of Frankfurt. It covers an area of 32.16 hectares, with the 4.2-hectare Ostparkweiher pond at its center. The pond was created in part of a drained old arm of the Main River, which was unsuitable for building due to the high groundwater level. The park is known for its extensive lawns and sports facilities. Ostpark Frankfurt am Main is part of Frankfurt’s green belt and, after Volkspark Niddatal, is the second-largest park in Frankfurt am Main.
