Description
Park Mitte Altona is a park in the Altona-Nord district of Hamburg. The park was created on the site of the former Altona freight yard and serves as the centerpiece of the newly developed Mitte Altona neighborhood. The first phase of the park was opened in 2019. Covering an area just under 3 hectares, it is a rather small park framed by seven-story apartment blocks. The architectural highlight of the park is the exposed steel skeleton of the former freight hall.
