Description

At the Residenzmuseum im Celler Schloss, the history of the Baroque court comes alive, offering you a vivid glimpse into courtly life, its customs, and traditions.

Several guided tours take place daily, where you can learn fascinating details about the people and everyday life at the court. Especially captivating are the themed film screenings about historical figures connected to the palace – for example, the 1940 film about Sophie Dorothea and the Königsmarck affair.

The permanent exhibition tells the story of the shift from the traditional class society to modern democracy and brings to life the oldest still existing princely dynasty in Europe, the Welfs, using modern exhibition techniques.

For little princesses and knight fans, the museum shop offers a wide selection of children’s books and high-quality toys that are sure to delight you.

A special highlight is the virtual time travel experience with TimeRide Go! – a VR tour offered from Friday to Sunday that transports you directly into the Baroque era. 🎭
