Description
Riemer Park is a landscape park covering about 210 hectares in the Munich district of Messestadt Riem, located on the site of the former Munich-Riem airport. In 1995, as part of the development of Messestadt by MRG Münchner Raumentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, an international ideas and implementation competition was held. The first prize was awarded to French landscape architect Gilles Vexlard. Munich's third-largest park was built from 1997 to 2005 with a budget of €70.5 million.
