Salzgittersee

Salzgittersee is the water sports hub of southeastern Lower Saxony. Covering 75 hectares, it is considered an "El Dorado" for sailors, rowers, surfers, canoeists, and divers; anglers and model boat enthusiasts also find plenty to enjoy. Of course, you can also simply relax and sunbathe on the kilometers of sandy beaches. Right on Salzgittersee you'll find a large 5-mast water ski facility, an indoor outdoor swimming pool, an ice sports arena, tennis courts, barbecue areas, a disc golf course, beach volleyball courts, and free recreational sports facilities including a Finn running track and fields for soccer, roller hockey, handball, and basketball.
