Schloss Bückeburg

Schloss Bückeburg has been home to the Princely Court Riding School Bückeburg since 2004, impressively showcasing the historical European equestrian art from the 11th to the 17th century.

On the castle grounds, exciting family festivals and exhibitions await you, including the popular events Landpartie and Weihnachtszauber, which draw around 70,000 visitors annually.

In July, the castle becomes the stage for the Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum, an exciting medieval market that lets you dive into times past.

The extensive castle gardens with over 80 hectares of parkland are free to access and offer a green paradise for families, featuring rare trees such as the Süntel beech, bald cypress, and an almost 25 meter tall sequoia.

Especially worth seeing is the precisely built 1:60 scale model of the castle in the Marble Hall, delighting visitors since 2011.

Since 2022, a bistro has been located in the castle’s historic kitchen rooms, reviving the atmosphere of the former castle lord’s kitchen with a charming café experience after a pause during the pandemic.
