Schloss Hamm
Description
Schloss Hamm transports you to the world of the Middle Ages with its impressive Renaissance architecture dating back to the 11th century.
On the castle grounds, you can discover a ring wall with medieval features such as arrow slits and battlements, inviting imaginative exploration and reenactment of knightly tales.
Inside, the Gothic hall with its 14th-century ribbed vault, once used as a communal dining hall, leaves a lasting impression – a vivid reminder of times gone by.
There is also a two-story Baroque chapel from around 1700, offering fascinating cultural and historical insights, especially suitable for family visits.
The castle is picturesquely situated on an elongated hill spur, almost completely surrounded by the Prüm river, creating a beautiful nature experience and plenty of opportunities for discovery.
Regular cultural events make the visit even more varied, and the Chapel and Gothic Hall can be rented for special family celebrations.
