On weekends, regular guided tours invite you to explore the castle grounds. In the fall, there are also special outdoor tours, such as Light Alley and Night Watchman tours, which bring history to life. 🌙
The knights’ hall in the castle impresses with one of the earliest Baroque rooms in northwest Germany, magnificent bishop galleries, and stunning ceiling frescoes – a cultural highlight for families passionate about history and art.
The castle museum features a modern archaeological exhibition with media tables and audio stations about the 1,200-year history of the estate. Children and adults can learn interactively about the Middle Ages here.
The small coin cabinet displays coins and medals spanning 800 years of Osnabrück region coin history – perfect for older children interested in numismatics and regional history.
At the foot of the castle hill lies the Grenzstein-Kreisim Kneipp adventure park: here you can discover original historic boundary stones and a typical boundary hedge.
