Description

Schloss Jever is a historic castle from the late 14th century that houses a culturally significant museum with changing exhibitions showcasing new restorations, additions, and exciting themes each year.

Children and teenagers under 18 have free admission to the castle museum, so the whole family can embark on a discovery journey together. The castle also offers a child-friendly castle guide brochure in simple language to make exploring easier for younger or less experienced visitors.

Highlights include thematic special exhibitions, such as the meeting of private collections with museum pieces or the transformation of traditional inns, which are especially interesting for families. There are also regular guided tours through the castle and park, providing fascinating insights into history and nature.

Especially exciting for children is the new digital scavenger hunt through Jever, which playfully explains how a town works. Visitors can also find unique souvenirs like a Playmobil figure of Maria von Jever in the museum shop – perfect for little collectors.
