Schloss Philippsruhe & Grimms Märchenreich invites you on an exciting journey of discovery that delights both young and old. In Germany's first interactive fountain-Grimm family participation museum, you can dive into a fascinating fairy tale world – full of clever princesses, brave princes, cunning witches, and dangerous giants.

From age 4, an interactive, multimedia adventure awaits you through seven different fairy tale worlds: from the whispering corridor to the dress-up land to the transformation room and the reading realm with books, listening stations, and sign language films. This lets you experience the city of Hanau in the late 18th century through the eyes of the Brothers Grimm children and even visit the Grimm family’s living room.

A special highlight is the paper theater museum, part of the museum for 30 years and declared an intangible UNESCO World Heritage in 2021. At the same time, Schloss Philippsruhe shows an exhibition featuring fairy tale creatures, paper theater, and modern inventions alongside fine art and historical collections.
