Sesselbahn Boppard
Description
The Sesselbahn Boppard is a 915-meter-long two-person chairlift from 1954, offering you a scenic 20-minute ride over vineyards, slate cliffs, and oak forests.
From the lift, you and your family can enjoy panoramic views of Boppard, the Rhine bend, the Sterrenberg and Liebenstein castles – known as the "Hostile Brothers" – the Bopparder Hamm wine region, and the surrounding towns along the Rhine.
After a short walk from the mountain station, you will reach the Gedeonseck restaurant with a panoramic terrace, an excellent family-friendly spot to take a break.
Another highlight is the Vierseenblick viewpoint, accessible via a five-minute walk from the mountain station. Here you and your children will experience an intriguing optical illusion: slate slopes and the Rhine bend appear as four separate lakes – a special natural spectacle for families.
