Description

In Sülbeck, history comes alive: The old salt drilling towers from 1865 and 1882 are not only protected as technical monuments but also spark children’s curiosity about the industrial past.

The cultural scene thrives with the long-running concert series Kultur im Esel, showcasing diverse music styles and emerging artists – a great place to dive together into new sounds.

Sülbeck has a very ancient history: archaeological finds prove settlement back to 5000 BC, including Neanderthal tools. This offers kids exciting insights into the time of early humans.

Experience the development of salt production which grew from around 300 tons in the 18th century to over 5000 tons by the start of the 20th century – a fascinating chapter of industrial growth.
