Spielplatz im Wellenpark

Water, water, and more water! How wonderful it is to be by the sea! When you enter Spielplatz im Wellenpark, you first walk across wave-shaped grassy slopes. Then little and big water lovers can splash and play to their heart’s content: At the current table, water is held up and currents are constantly changed. A large, rotating water prism breaks the light into an endless spectrum of colors. "Ferry man – bring us over!" You cross the big pond by ferry – which the captain and crew have to pull by hand. The see-saw suction pump nearby is powered by foot – when you pump, a fountain starts and jets soar meters into the sky.

At the red buoy, a large retired sea marker, you can pump the cool water upwards using an Archimedean screw. On the water playground, you can get all messy and the hand pumps clean up any spills. For aspiring engineers, there’s a real ship’s propeller that drives the flowing water.
