Rarely is Spielplatz Rennbahnweg, or Rennbahnspielplatz as the locals call it, empty. It is one of the most popular and beautiful playgrounds in Leipzig.
This spacious playground offers a variety of play equipment including slides, climbing structures, a jumping band, swings, and a special area for the little ones.
On hot summer days, it is pleasantly shady, and when the water pump is running, the playground transforms into a refreshing muddy paradise.
You can easily spend half a day here, as the nearby snack bar offers food, ice cream, and drinks to keep everyone happy.
Or maybe you prefer a picnic on the surrounding green spaces? Clara-Zetkin-Park certainly has plenty of those.
A visit to Rennbahnspielplatz can also be combined with a walk through the beautiful Clara Park along the Elster floodplain and a break at the Glasshouse or Music Pavilion.
