Spielplatz Schillerhain

Description
Since the renovation was completed in summer 2023, Spielplatz Schillerhain has attracted families from near and far.
A special highlight is the newly created mud play area with a water pump that brings the historic park to life. There is also a restored ornamental fountain from the 1950s. Additionally, concrete play sculptures that are especially appealing to visually impaired children have been introduced – two ducks that have a direct connection to the nearby Parthe River.
For older kids, adventurous play and climbing opportunities with a horizontal bar have been added. There are also two ping-pong tables. The extensive greenery makes the playground particularly attractive. In the middle of the mud area stands a shady beech tree that provides extra cooling while playing.
Special seating options, such as a circular bench around the historic Schiller linden tree and seating walls, invite you to pause and relax. It should be noted, however, that this is no longer the historic Schiller linden tree planted by admirers in the 19th century, but its successor planted 15 years ago.
Your visit to Spielplatz Schillerhain can be combined with a trip to the nearby Schillerhaus, the Gohliser Schlösschen, or a short excursion to the Wackelturm in the beautiful Rosental park.
