Description

The Stadtmuseum Eschwege is housed in a three-story former tobacco warehouse, showcasing the town’s history. A special focus is on everyday life from the 18th century through the early 20th century. On display are, among other things, the only remaining uniform of a "Lützower Jäger" (1813), historic children’s toys, "Hesse’s largest shoe," one of the oldest photo studios, and archaeological finds ranging from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages.
