Stadtmuseum Fembohaus
Description
At the Stadtmuseum Fembohaus you experience 950 Jahre Nürnberger Stadtgeschichte in a newly redesigned permanent exhibition. 🏛️
The chronological tour starts at a large, sounding city model with a combined light-sound-image show. Multimedia-audio features (e.g. in the dance hall three former residents tell their stories) as well as audio stations and musical examples from three centuries make the city come alive. 🎧
Also on display are the Apollo-Brunnen (1532) as an example of German Renaissance sculpture, the „Schöne Zimmer“ with a 21-part mythological ceiling painting, the impressive Barockstuckdecke von 1674 and the house itself as the only preserved large late-Renaissance merchant's house. A new permanent exhibition unit in the former cinema in the historic courtyard opened in 2016.
