Description

The Steinhuder Museen bring together two fascinating worlds under one roof: the Fischer- und Webermuseum and the Spielzeugmuseum. With a combined ticket, you dive into the history and culture of the region.

At the Fischer- und Webermuseum, you experience what life in Steinhude looked like over 100 years ago. See impressive linen weavings from three centuries, including a seamlessly woven shirt from 1728. You will also learn all about the special fishing boats adapted to the shallow Steinhuder Meer and get to know traditional fishing methods.

The Spielzeugmuseum displays toys from around 1900 to 1960 that reflect the social roles of past times. Discover building parts from Anker, Märklin, LEGO, and Schleich figures 🎲. A particular highlight is the figures from fairy tale worlds that bring the history of collectible figures to life.

An audio guide with 14 stations, accessible via QR code, tells exciting stories about a white sewer, the museum's mascot, and a cat 🐾. Tours are offered not only for adults but also specially designed for school and preschool groups.
