Description

At the Technisches Nationalmuseum, technology you can touch awaits you. Across seven floors you'll find 16 permanent exhibitions and rotating special shows on the history of technology and industry. The offering suits all ages, and school-age kids will find especially plenty to discover here.

A highlight for the youngest visitors is the Merkur-Spielzimmer, where you can build with the legendary Merkur construction set, play with wooden toys, or watch popular Czech bedtime cartoons. The Construction Playground (Stavební hřiště) and the Children's Post Playground (Dětské poštovní hřiště) also invite you to get hands-on.

  • Statika hrou: discover the basics of statics through play

  • Dvůr stavebních řemesel: experience building trades up close

  • Historic locomotives and airplanes, including a Supermarine Spitfire from 1945

  • Televizní studio Interkamera: see how television is made

The Herna Merkur brings a nostalgic arcade to the museum that appeals to visitors of all ages. After your tour, a cozy café invites you to take a break.
