Description
At Terrazoo you discover around 100 species and about 400 cold-blooded animals – perfect for children who are fascinated by snakes, lizards and spiders. 🐢
Large animals such as Nile crocodiles and land tortoises immediately catch the eye; several terrariums can be viewed from at least three sides and get plenty of daylight, making observation more vivid.
The terrariums are furnished naturally with real plants and substrates – you see animals in near-natural biotopes. You can watch keepers during their daily tasks and learn a lot about biology in the process.
For families and school groups the TerraZoo-Schule as well as daily tours to native reptiles offer structured learning programs. The facility participates in breeding programs for protected species such as the European adder and works with reptile rescue centers.
