Christmas Market in Zechenpark

The Christmas Market in Zechenpark in Kamp-Lintfort offers a unique Advent experience set against a historic mining backdrop. At the neighborhood square between the headframe and the winding tower, regional vendors present a wide variety of Christmas gifts and decorations. Since about half of the vendors change between the two weekends, it’s worth visiting more than once. Culinary delights include a broad selection of sweet and savory dishes as well as various mulled wine specialties. A special highlight is the tower rides on the winding tower Schacht 1, organized by the Fördergemeinschaft für Bergmannstradition Linker Niederrhein e.V., offering an impressive view over the Lower Rhine and Ruhr area. For children, there is a carousel and encounters with alpacas from the KALISTO animal park. The Christmas market emphasizes sustainability through the use of reusable cups and energy-efficient LED lighting. Additionally, Zechenpark is designed to be accessible and is certified by "Reisen für Alle."
