Tiergarten Ludwigslust

Description
Our grounds span more than 5 hectares and are home to over 200 animals from 50 different species, including flamingos, parrots, storks (white storks have been bred and released back into the wild here for years), emus, rheas, cranes, birds of prey, alpacas, miniature donkeys, dwarf goats, miniature pigs, kangaroos, porcupines, lynxes, wildcats, deer, and (what would a zoo be without them) monkeys, children's favorites.
Special Features
Successful establishment and breeding of free-flying white storks in Tiergarten Ludwigslust. For the kids, there is also a petting zoo and a playground as special attractions. Whether it’s the impressive pink cockatoos or the colorful parrots, right behind the entrance, these feathered creatures draw attention with their loud calls and songs. The playground was expanded in 2017 with a new play area, inviting children to romp and play after visiting the zoo.
