Tierpark & Fossilium

Tierpark & Fossilium in Bochum features an impressive variety with over 4,000 animals from more than 300 species. The naturalistic enclosures include ring-tailed lemurs and meerkats. Since 2006, the "North Sea World" has expanded the experience with seals, penguins, and wading birds. In the aquarium and terrarium house, over 400 fossils are on display, complemented by native and exotic fish, snakes, lizards, monkeys, and amphibians. A petting zoo offers additional hands-on experiences. The Tierpark is a notable destination combining education and entertainment in a professional setting.
