Description

Tierpark Hamm: A center for biodiversity and education. As a scientifically managed zoo, it houses around 450 animals from over 70 species, including endangered wildlife such as Borneo gibbons, fossas, and Siberian tigers, as well as heritage livestock breeds. The Tierpark is actively involved in ex-situ and in-situ conservation efforts, supports breeding programs, and is recognized as an "Arche-Park."

The grounds feature naturalistic habitats, some walk-in enclosures, and a children’s petting farm. The “Fabeltier Adventure World,” a large playground, offers a variety of play areas. To learn about zoological work, guided tours by the zoo school are available, which provide educational programs on ecology, biodiversity, and species protection. The central dining area completes the visitor experience. A 3.5-kilometer circular path winds through the park, inviting you to explore.
