Some of these animals can no longer be found in the wild today. The main focus is therefore on the protection, preservation, breeding, and, whenever possible, reintroduction of endangered species. Nearly all aviaries and enclosures are spacious and mostly left in their natural state. Beautiful examples include a 3,000 m² wolf territory and a 5,000 m² bear forest. Both facilities are unique in the Harz region.
