Description

Look forward to about 250 animals and around 60 species. In 2024, 2023, and 2022, Tierpark Petermoor was awarded the title "Top Excursion Destination in Lower Saxony" by familienausflug.info. On a tour through Tierpark Petermoor, we gladly take you on a "little world tour." With a bit of luck, you can spot young kangaroos poking their heads out of their mother’s pouch in the Australia enclosure. Right next door in the Asia enclosure, you'll see exotic axis deer and can watch Indian blackbucks as they perform their distinctive high leaps. The South American continent is represented by llamas and rheas. Not only exotic animals, but also many old and endangered domestic breeds have found a home at Petermoor. In 2007, the Society for the Conservation of Old and Endangered Domestic Breeds (GEH) honored Tierpark Petermoor with the title of Germany’s first "Arche Park" for these efforts and successful breeding programs. The zoo school offers many people an easy way to understand and learn about nature’s connections. Whether schools, clubs, or other groups, all are warmly welcome.
