Description
When the Groß-Gerauer Safari Park closed its doors in 1984, Peter Schweikhard was bottle-feeding two tiger cubs.
After the park went bankrupt, the cubs simply stayed in Ingelheim. The nonprofit association was founded in 2006. In 2007, the first tiger cub was born. Currently, seven Bengal tigers live at Tiger-Garten Waldeck. During opening hours, visitors can admire the animals free of charge from a distance of 4 meters, Wednesday through Sunday.
TOURING (1m from the tiger, fee applies) is available from March 10, 2026, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays at 3 p.m., with registration and in dry weather or by arrangement. Contact 0172/6121741 or info@tiger-garten-waldeck.de
TIGER TOURS have a fee of €5 per person, ONLY with prior registration by phone at 0172 6121741 or email, weather permitting, minimum 7 participants total, and with controlled, limited access, available as:

fee of €50 for up to 5 persons, each additional person costs €10
