Volkspark Prenzlauer Berg
Description
Volkspark Prenzlauer Berg – created from the former Oderbruch landfill – is a park covering about 29 hectares on the eastern edge of the Pankow district, Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood. The main feature of the park is a double peak made from rubble, with its highest point reaching 90.9 meters above sea level. The other peak, located closer to Hohenschönhauser Straße, is called Hohes Plateau and has a stone marker claiming it is "the highest point in Prenzlauer Berg," but this is inaccurate. Surveys from the 1990s show it is only 89 meters high. These twin peaks are among the higher elevations in Berlin.
